Pets can develop unhealthy, and unwanted habits. But pets are like children, they need guidance & discipline to live happy & healthy lives with their families. Training is a life style with your dog, not a one or two week activity. The owner has to be trained as well as the dog. The training needs to be continually reinforced for the owner, and the dog, to live happy, healthy lives!
The goal and purpose of the program is to help you, the pet parent, to strengthen the bond with your dog. We want to achieve this by sharing with you our personal experiences with various issues and by keeping you up to date with every-changing discoveries in the field of canine psychology. Too often we hear people say, "I took my dog to a trainer once and it didn't work!" Many programs fail because the trainer teaches your dog new behaviors without giving you the skills you need to be a strong dog handler. Our intent is to condition your dog to be more receptive to human-dog communication and give YOU the tools that will allow you to effectively communicate to your dog what you want him to understand.
Does your dog need training?
If your dog has issues with any of the following, you may benefit from enrolling in our program:
* Reluctance to obey commands / ignoring commands
* Showing aggression towards other dogs
* Pulling on leash
* Jumping on family and/or strangers
* Resource guarding (food / toy aggression)
Each parent must complete an assessment form to determine what your dog's training needs are. A trainer will review your form, then contact you about what type of training best suits your needs. Once your training needs are determined, you will schedule a start date and put down a deposit. We must have current shot records on file before training begins. This includes rabies, distemper, parvo and bordetella.
